MOM is a CD/ Director + DP duo from occupied Duwamish Territory (Pacific Northwest)–––  _____

and moved to Los Angeles like everyone else to chase their dreams. MOM's experimental and textured style finds new visual and narrative storytelling avenues. Their vision allows the viewer to see the world through a cohesive and unique perspective. –––MOM is here to tell socially relevant stories with a contemporary lens.

–––MOM is an artistic partnership formed in 2019 by Skokomish Yakama artist Ray & cinematographer Matt, AKA the camera guy. The first time they met was on set, then continued to collaborate throughout their education. Naturally, they realized they couldn't deny the greatness in their artistic partnership, and MOM was born.–––  _____ The duo works because they view directing and cinematography from a holistic approach. Just as they relate to the sameness in life, but comment on the difference. They have opposite backgrounds & upbringings but bring out the best of each other creatively. 

 

MOM resides with their young family on unceded Tongva Land–––  _____ also known as Los Angeles. It's essential to acknowledge Los Angeles is stolen Indigenous land.
